Randall's Biography

Biography
Background
Randall Bane is a professionally trained performer who became a Christian in 1974 and has used his gifts in full-time church and concert ministry since 1978. His dramatic interpretations of song, story and scripture have deeply touched people of all ages and backgrounds. His artistry has helped set a standard for excellence among Christian performers. His sharing of personal testimony gives striking evidence of the power of God to change lives. His use of the movement medium has opened many eyes to the validity of dance as an instrument of worship.

Long recognized as a powerful solo performer, he has become famous for creating glorious worship environments in churches, theaters, convention halls and hotel ballrooms around the world. In 1996 he founded David's House, a non-profit ministry with a mandate to encourage and inspire the use of movement and visual expression in the worship life of believers (and the church at large). Through David's House, music, movement and a variety of visual expressions are used to glorify God as King David did!

Testimony
Background
“I was raised in a good church-going family and left home in 1959 to attend college. By 1962 I had become disillusioned with the conventional answers to my questions about life and truth. In that year I dropped out of school, moving to New York City. For the next six years I experimented with life as if there were no right or wrong. I pursued arts and culture as ultimate goals, being guided entirely by my own feelings and the influence of those who seemed to already have what I wanted. I fell into the gay lifestyle, extensive drug use and other licentious activities. I sought spiritual insight and power through various metaphysical and Eastern religious pursuits, turning my back on Christianity.

During these years I became professionally trained as an actor and began to experience success in the field, but my decadent lifestyle overtook and destroyed my career ambition. In 1968 I left New York, married and settled in a university town in the Midwest, trying to change my life by my own efforts.  After several years of counseling and therapy and the achievement of a master's degree, I was still confused, morally bankrupt, drug dependent and utterly lost. In 1974 I finally cried out to Jesus and He saved me and filled me with the Holy Spirit.  He has redeemed from my past those things He chooses to use. He has enabled me to lift up the banner of hope to many who were deeply misled and deceived by the lies they have believed about themselves and about life. He has used me to minister through the performance gifts I had before so badly abused.”
